Natasha & Ryan | Rocky Mountain National Park Proposal + Boulder, CO Engagement

This is a VERY special blog for me because Natasha and Ryan are two of our closest friends. When I told Natasha we were going to Denver for a shoot, she immediately asked if her and Ryan could come with us. We obviously said yes! Her grandparents live right outside of Denver, so it was the perfect opportunity to visit our favorite state together, as well as spend time with her family.

Natasha has been my best friend for almost my whole life. We have been there for each other through every stage of life. She zipped me into my wedding dress. We've cried with each other over heartaches. We have been there for each other in each celebration. I have watched her and Ryan's relationship grow and flourish over the years. I consider her family, as well as Ryan!

Little did she know, but Ryan and I had been scheming all week for the perfect proposal. We decided we would spend the day "exploring" Rocky Mountain National Park before heading back to Denver to grab dinner with my husband, Zak, who had been working from our hotel. We found the perfect spot after exploring for a while...and you can see the rest :)

I'm so thankful I could be there for this moment & am so excited for these two! LET'S GET YOU GUYS MARRIED!  #ringingintherichardsons

Lauren & Andrew | Birmingham Engagement Session

One of my favorite things for a couple to do is pick places for their session that have meaning in their relationship. These two went on their first date to Woodlawn Cycle Cafe. How sweet is it that they have memories photographed there now? I love it. I'm so excited for Lauren & Andrew! They are dear friends of mine and I am so grateful they asked me to capture this season for them.

Sarah & Ben | Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement Session

Anything less than mad, passionate, extraordinary love is a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life to deal with and love shouldn’t be one of them.
— Tiffanie DeBartolo

Wow. I am seriously in awe that I get to experience so many incredible things in this beautiful thing we call life. Sarah had an idea of doing her and Ben's engagement session in Colorado, where she grew up. After a little too much enthusiasm for the idea from me, lots of planning between us and a flight later, we ended up in Estes Park, CO! The thing I love most about this whole experience is that Sarah & Ben will have these images in a place that means so much to her (and is also beautiful) to cherish for the rest of their lives. They will print these, pull them out over the years and someday tell their kids about an awesome adventure they went on before they were married. Did it cost more money? Yes. Is it priceless? Absolutely. Life is too short to make mediocre choices. Make choices that you're excited about! Live a life you love, today.

Thank you, Sarah & Ben, for trusting me to capture these moments for you AND for this incredible experience! Let's do it again ;)
